Browser Storage

Cookies, localStorage, browser cache and downloaded files are different things. This page explains the behaviour of the site files and the local message tool.

Cookies and persistent site storage.

The supplied HTML, CSS and JavaScript do not set cookies, write to localStorage or use sessionStorage. They do not include analytics, advertising identifiers or third-party tracking libraries. Basic navigation and reading do not require optional storage.

A hosting service or separately provided consent interface may have its own storage behaviour. Any such interface should identify the choices it controls. This page does not claim that the static files can inspect or manage cookies set by infrastructure outside those files.

What the interactive features use.

Storage behaviour of the supplied features

Copy messageText is written to the clipboard after your action.Depends on your device and clipboard history settings.
Download textA plain-text file is created for you to save.Remains on your device until you remove it.

Your browser may keep other information.

Browsers commonly cache images, styles and page files to load them more efficiently. They may also keep browsing history, remember form entries or restore page sessions. These browser-managed features are not the same as a site tracking cookie, and their behaviour depends on your browser settings.

The message tool does not intentionally retain your entries after you leave, but browser restoration or autofill may preserve them independently. On a shared device, clear relevant form history and close the page when finished. Delete downloaded messages and clipboard history separately if they contain information you no longer want retained.

Managing storage and choices.

Use your browser’s privacy or site-data settings to inspect and remove cookies and stored website data. Clearing a site’s stored preferences can cause a separately supplied consent interface to ask again. Blocking JavaScript disables the message builder and animated enhancements, but the information pages remain readable.

Clearing cookies does not delete downloaded files, erase email you have sent or necessarily clear the clipboard. Manage each of these through the relevant browser, device or application controls.
